Starbucks really knows how to stoke Controversy

For a Chain Coffee Shop, I have never seen so much controversy surrounding cups and straws in my life! I think their change in Holiday Coffee Cups started the "war on Christmas" a few years ago and now people are in outrage over the announcement that Starbucks is to end Plastic straw availability in their stores. That store really knows how to stay relevant and in the news! Here is a recent shot of mine in homage to the lowly straw.

Window Washer #2

This guy wasn't "As Lucky"........He was more backlite so it was harder to see his face!!!!!

Window Washer #1

I was at a rooftop event recently. I have seen these guys on the side of the building from a street perspective and setting up, but never getting ready to "go over". What a lucky evening. This is the first of two guys who were "free forming" it over the side. No scaffolding to stabilize them, just a plastic seat they rest on as they move. It looked like he knew what he was doing. I saw him later that evening,,,,,,,,,putting his equpment away. ;)

Inspirational

I shot some Stock Video of an inspirational pursuit In Central Park. The young woman is an actress that has been in several short independent movies. Very outgoing and takes direction very well. We worked though a small section of Central Park in an area I frequent often. We had a gorgeous summer day and plenty of foot traffic which helped in the busy feel of the clips. The sun near the Pond was amazing at this hour and you can really see it during the stretching portion of the clip. I was surprised we didn't have any "NY" moments during the filming of this. As we shot the running section, the model complained that she did not jog and also was fine with that confession. :) I really enjoy working with people in my Photography/Video.

Crafts, Concentration and Charm. What a Beautiful Mess.

I've been exploring with a new light I acquired recently. Its ultra portable and very powerful. Two things I love about the current state of Photography, and technology in general. All things are getting smaller and more powerful! That can be said about Toddlers, size and power are interconnected and are typically underestimated. Our little guy ,could as a metaphor to engine power, be listed as a one cylinder. He, however, has the torque of 4! His power and health give me such joy I couldn't be happier with my subject matter. :) As for the past few times he has worked with kids paint, he, at some point, takes both hands and "slaps" either side of his face. Of course I have to document this each time, as I am sure this will come to end at some point. Is our guy one masterpiece away?
